Africa Bound and a bit for camera buffs.
In 4 more days, I will be done with finals for the semester…and Africa bound, aboard the M/v Liberty Glory as a cadet. I’m slightly freaked out, but surprisingly complacent with the thought of being out of country for a third of a year. I’ve got 4 more days of finals, then I go home for a week…I’m going out to see my best friends, out in Iowa City for Halloween weekend, so that should be a blast.
Anywho, a bit for you camera buffs.
I’ve recently just gotten a Canon SX120 IS Powershot, my first truly completely adjustable and functional camera, with full toggling between variable ISO speeds, aperture values, and shutter speeds, along with a handfull of other features.
So I’ve tried my hand at HDR photography, and I’m curious as how to not get slightly washed out images. I’ve tried with -2,0,+2, interval exposure shots and -1,0,+1 shots, but when combining into an HDR shot using Photomatix Pro, the images look slightly washed out. Any suggestions? And the moon photo is slightly distorted, shot at ISO 80, F4.3, 1/60 of a second. How can I improve my shots? Any feedback would be useful before I go out to sea.
